Another in my ongoing series of photographs taken around India, this time
taken at Kanyakumari, the southernmost tip of India, which is the confluence
of three major seas/oceans - Indian Ocean, Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea. It
was formerly called Cape Comorin. As I was getting ready to photograph my
wife, Neela, in the centre, I found this tourist getting a little self
conscious, so I clicked! The striped wall on the left encloses an ancient
temple to Kanya Devi, a virgin goddess who legend has it was stood up by the
god Siva on their wedding day, from which the town takes its name. It is a
very old town, though a small one, even finding a mention from Ptolemy, who
identifies it as a pearl fishing centre.

C&C, as always, welcome.

Cheers
