Q:  I'm in the business of Landscape Design and Restoration.

Your comments about the need for and value of Ground Cover is spot on.

In the Pacific Northwest, we have a spot of rain, now and then.  Without the 
myriad species of ground cover (including moss),
there would be precious little arable soil for the giant trees and the 
"look" of the forest would be bizarre.
