It will be over soon Tina.  Soon there won't be any new films scanners
and you won't have to worry (only half joking).

I have the same problem with Kodachromes.  The only scanner I ever
used that scanned Kodachrome really well was a Leafscan 45, probably
now long gone (it was at my university in Queensland).  Even the
Hasselblad/Imacon and drum scans I have aren't as good as that Leaf.
