Hi there--

?? It's quite possible that someone already has posted this on the LUG, but 
just 
in case...

?? A friend of mine (who is shown in this picture) enjoys wildlife 
photography. 
This weekend he rented a Sony A900 body ($2,700) and a 500mm?AUTOFOCUS 
mirror 
lens ($750).

?? One of the unique features is the stablizaton is built into the camera 
body 
instead of the lens--which means any lens you use is stabliized. Not only 
that,?there's a little display in the bottom right-hand corner of the 
viewfinder 
that looks like the signal-strength bars on a cellphone. The more you?shake, 
the 
more bars show. So, you can push the shutter when you have the lowest number 
of 
bars.

?? The result is amazing. I took the picture at ISO3200 with the 500mmf8 
lens at 
minimum focus with a shutter speed of 1/19th! I can't believe it.

?? I'm not giving up the Leicas, of course. But I'm gobsmacked at the Sony 
technology!
