In America we have this holiday where a bunch of your friends and family
come over on the fourth Thursday of November and get drafted into your photo
projects. Somewhere between the second and third martini the Ur Digilux
STOPPED WORKING! It'll beep but won't come on. Swapped batteries but the
same thing happened. Luckily no real Ur Digilux photographer ever has but a
single camera in their kit and I was able to swiftly switch to the backup
Digilux 4:3 and finish up the Top Secret Project.

But it gives me pause when Leica's best-ever camera stops working after only
a dozen years.

I wonder what Sherry Krauter will say when she unpacks my Digilux.
