Subject: [Leica] Adventures in Alpha-Land (warning: for pixel peekers only)

As requested I am posting some test shots taken with my a900. All were
taken using a 50 Summicron at f8. I varied shutter speed only to keep
exposure constant. IS, noise reduction and Sony's DR feature were
turned off. All were taken at the full resolution of 24 megapixels
which naturally results in the highest noise quotient, IMHO. I
included the full size shot at ASA 800 as well as 100% crops for ASA
100, 200, 400 and 800 and I threw in 1600 just for comparison. All
photos were processed with Adobe Camera RAW in CS5 with no retouching.
Sharpness was set to 50 for all shots. Hope this helps some of you to
decide whether or not the a900 is worth a try when you DMR dies (I
hope not soon!)
