thanks to all for the kind comments on the state fair photos

it's a wonderful photographic experience

i started the day with the tri-elmar and doing some composing, but as the
day wore on and the crowds grew, i put on the CV 15mm

scenes and people went by so quickly there was not time to decide if
something was picture worthy

if there was an inkling of worthiness, thrust the camera up in the right
general direction and fire

notice, point, fire -- total time 2-3 seconds at most

crop to frame later

sometimes the reflex was right--sometimes wrong

Most important tool of the photographer-loaded camera
second most important--garbage can

again with the can, sometimes the reflex is right others it's wrong

photographing the fair is a pleasure i rediscovered a few years ago largely
thanks to the work of HB Arche whose work i adore
