I don't have the discipline to read a chapter of a book that doesn't relate to what I'm doing and instead tried to skip to chapters that do. Unfortunately those chapters relate to processes covered in previous chapters which I knew nothing about. So I had to try to learn a lot of stuff that didn't relate to what I was doing to learn?how to do what I needed. Didn't work for me. For me?the videos, especially with?LR, were really helpful. Maybe because LR is photography oriented and I could understand what they were trying to achieve. With?CS, I never really understood anything until I took a class that was?specifically oriented to photography. Then I walked away totally awed by what you could do with it. Just what worked for me. I donated my CS books (too many to count) to the library. Better to spend the money on a CS/Photo oriented class (online or in vivo). I found I have too many books so I've started watching videos instead.? For example, try http://www.adobe.com/support/tutorials/?product=lightroom (the links with 'tv' in them). --Bob ==On Tue, Sep 7, 2010 at 9:21 AM,? <grduprey at mchsi.com> wrote: > While we are on the subject of Photoshop CS5 and LR, What are some good > books >on CS5 and LR3? ?I have both on order, since I finally broke down and >purchased >both, and will jump into the deep end of the pool with ?these two after >years in >a love hate relationship with PSE. > > Gene > _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
