No problem here when I removed the earlier Lightroom versions after the new
install as well. The Trial, Beta and Release Candidate versions of LR may
have different install routines as well, perhaps? However, if you have the
Creative Suite installed as well (as LR) you can definitely run into
problems with default progs to open file types, for example. At one point a
fault with an uninstall broke Bridge and the solution involved reinstalling
the entire suite. Add a series of upgrades to that and you are wasting
hours. So normal caution is advised and some rollback insurance is very wise
;-)
