I never said it was for the average Joe or average college student......
then again, neither is a Leica RF.
In the USA, the warranty is not transferrable. Period. First buyer only.
New prices for the M9, at $500 USD over an M8-2 is a no-brainer. If you can
afford one, you can afford the other....just pick the model that does what
you wish.....( I am referring to the M8 ability on IR or the bigger pixel
count of the M9 for examples....)
Yes, prices vary by country. But here I sit in the USA, so I do not have
other country pricing data......
When my warranty expires on my M8, I will change my major to Photography,
attend a photo course at my local College, and buy myself an M9 for a
discount price. It will take me 1 semester of taking 1 class to save a lot
of money.....
But my woodworking will suffer......good thing I finished all the furniture
for our bedroom..... 8 pieces...... !
Accept that last comment as an O/T gloat....
