How sad.  She was one of my favorite singers and songwriters.  In some of 
her songs she was almost like a teacher.  Sang like nobody else, but there 
is a some hint of Billie Holliday in there.

Some of her most poignant lyrics:" Throw it away, throw it away. You can 
never lose a thing if it belongs to you."
