Subject: [Leica] Compact Cameras

This comparison with results from the M9 to the x1 is very tricky.
It seems we are comparing the results of what we get from camera without a
low pas filter vs. one we get that has a lowpass filter.
It almost seems as if Erwin is implying the pitch of 5.5 of the X1 would be
an advantage over the 6.8 PP of the M9. This most think of on the long run
is a disadvantage not an advantage.
A raw "developer" in this case a relatively unknown one ads a je ne sais pas
random flavor to the soup. It can get hard to make digital direct
comparisons. One almost wishes we were looking at direct jpegs.
Regardless of camera body size we are comparing a 1.5x crop against a 1x
crop. The 1x crop format camera is going to be on the long run immeasurably
more useful.
