Batteries Plus does this and is a nation wide company. I run my DMR and M8
batteries down until the camera stops, and ignore the battery meter. Seems
to work well this way.

Subject: [Leica] battery for DMR?

Hi All- Happily- Gene Duprey Fed Ex'd me a DMR battery which I was able
to put to good use when my original stopped working at about 140 frames
during the Porsche club car show in Beverly Hills last Sunday. The low
battery indicator comes on after 30-40 frames- so I never know when it
will quit. It could also be an electronic gremlin- because the camera
will operate erratically on occasion.
I read a post by Charley Chan that there will be no batterys available
thru Leica. Like others on the list- I am disappointed. Is there a
company in the USA or Germany, or other country that can
rebuild/reconstitute the original rechargeable Li-Ion battery. It is a
7.4V, 1800 mAh battery. Thanks for any info, Stasys
