My condolences, Richard.  My dad passed away about 15 years ago.  He was 
a WWII and Korea vet.  My mom and dad lived through the great 
depression, and after all that he became very successful.  At his 
funeral I heard a number of people say, the problem with this is that 
all the good men are going away.  I like to think otherwise, that folks 
like him and your dad have passed along values we need.
