I'm with you, Frank, although I go even longer.  I like 85-90mm a lot; 50mm 
is my wide.  When I use my 30D, the lightweight Canon 50mm f/1.8 is
great, since with the 1.6x crop factor, it's like an 80mm f/1.8.
