Inspired by Phil on the LUG, I slapped an IR filter on my 50mm Summilux and
experimented this morning. And it works!!!

The effect here is similar to what I used to get with Ilford SFX--not
surprising, as the filter I used was the Heliopan 665, exactly the filter I
used with SFX in my film days. Next I will try with a stronger filter; when
I got rid of my film equipment back in 2004, I kept my IR filters, and now I
am glad I did! It is a good way to get something interesting out of the
boring sunshine and blue skies that will plague us during the next several
months.
