Who knows?  I've found that when I pay attention to a feeling in my stomach 
that urges
me to take a picture, I often get something I like, even if I can't explain 
why.  Most of the 
pictures in my "Enigmatic" album on the LUG Gallery were prompted by this.  
What is most
fun is when I see something in the final picture that my subconscious must 
have noticed 
before making the exposure, like the musical notes and pseudo-treble clef in 
this shot:
