Within spitting distance of Neuschwanstein is Castle Hohenstein.... This is
the older family castle of Crazy Prince Ludwig..... Go there as well...
There is a little hotel there called... Rose something or something Rose....
right on the lake that Ludwig drowned in. Very nice. There is a small
restaurant in the town as well....

To be honest, without the surrounds, most of these castles do look the same.
It is the environment that changes them and puts them into context....

Many of the Austrian Empire castles are painted a rather odd color of
yellow..... and are really fancy houses more than the traditional "Castle"
of medieval times....

There are enough museums in Vienna to keep you busy for a long while.... all
kinds of interesting things on display and specialized.

Sacher Hotel
Ring Strasse coffee shops..... which require the use of some rather arcane
protocol to get coffee and a sweet.... that we never could figure out.....
