Hi Greg,
True enough! Glad to see you read history, too - but the mood in  
Congress was so transformed that the US would have declared war on  
Germany if Hitler hadn't jumped the gun!
Why he did declare war so quickly is one of the mysteries of WW II -  
according to what I have read.
