Perhaps Leica didn't issue them but there are thousands of phony Leicas
around with the logos of reprehensible political entities engraved on their
topsides. There seems to be a ready market for these things. Even I own
one. If I had a dollar for every Russian Leica engraved with a Nazi symbol I
could afford an M9, maybe even two.
