When I saw two of this sequence in an earlier post I was vaguely nagged by
some resemblance I was seeing of the images to something else I knew but
couldn't identify: something in the composition and the thick texture lent
by the grain and most especially in the light -- and in the darkness that is
the lights defining other. With this last picture the resemblance became
obvious to me (though perhaps I'm nuts): this picture looks like a Goya.
