The M8u is nice and all but for landscape, I like the big B&W neg from the Mamiya 7. For events (taiko, wedding, con photos), the E-3 can't be beat. For me anyway. I would love to have the 14-35/2 to match the 35-100/2. So the M8 gets relegated to "other stuff." Shooting film for those "other stuff" seems a bit too much work :-) On Wed, Jan 20, 2010 at 4:28 AM, Douglas Sharp <douglas.sharp at gmx.de> wrote: > I spent 3 weeks of our last vacation shooting almost exclusively on film > with 4 different cameras from P&S to SLR - great fun. > > Films at 3 for the price of two1 hour developing + CD in the town for a > couple of pounds and viewed them on the TV in our holiday cottage in the > evenings. > > It stops my film gear getting dusty & rusty too and refired my passion for > my wonderful Rollei 3003. > > With the exception of 1 or 2, these are all from last years film outings. > > http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/DMS/UK/Whitby/Whitby_BW/?g2_page=1 > > Douglas > > > > On 20.01.2010 09:03, Richard Man wrote: >> >> May be he has an extreme allergic reaction to all these digital talk. >> >> At least before the M9, he can talk about the LTM (Lincoln Town's >> Mobile), but now, no one uses their M-less-than-8 anymore. >> >> Well, except Lluis >> >> OK Jim too, >> >> May be George >> >> I bet Mark does too if he has a roll of Tri-X in his drawer. -- // richard m: richard @imagecraft.com // w: http://www.imagecraft.com/pub/Portfolio09/ blog: http://rfman.wordpress.com // book: http://www.blurb.com/bookstore/detail/745963
