This reminds me of when I was stationed in Wiesbaden (ca. 1980) and was a 
member of the Wiesbaden American Ski Club (WASKI). Every winter the club 
would include a ski trip to Titlis/Engelberg in Switzerland. This was a 
source of great amusement to us native speakers of English, as we pronounced 
it "tit-less" and joked about how much fun it was to "ski titless". Now I 
see we weren't the only ones to think "It's Heaven".
