Jim,

Is it possible that it was at the Wings and Wheels Museum, in South
Carolina? Korean War ace Dolph Overton bought the plane at the Tallmantz
Auction
in 1968 for $20,500. He transferred ownership to the National Air &
Space Museum in 2005. It's currently on display at the Udvar-Hazy Center
at
Dulles Airport.

Best Regards,
