Subject: [Leica] Orford and Dedham: Who Needs Wide Angle Lenses Anymore?

Although these look like straight photographs, they actually are not. All
four are three-pane photomerges done in PSCS4.

The key to doing this easily, apart from having a static scene, is
apparently to hold the camera very close to square to the subject, just as
you would with a wide angle lens, as you rotate horizontally to take the
picture series.

The last of the four, of the church in Dedham, is from a three-pane series
with the camera rotated vertically. That works too. Photomerge
automatically corrected the geometric distortion caused by the upward tilt
of the camera.

I wonder how long it will be before a camera comes with built in photomerge
capability?

C&C always welcome. G-1 with 20mm f1.7; photomerges done via Lightroom 2.5
in PSCS4.
