The marker pens sold in the wire and cable industry for labeling wires and 
wire tags will write on pretty much anything. I use these:

but they probably don't have the calligraphic point that you're looking for. 
A cable marking pen will write permanently on a Nalgene bottle. Try that 
with YOUR favorite pen.
