It's smooth, with soft transitions on out of focus highlights. Completely unobtrusive and smooth. I had a chance to try the M9 at Seattle (I also borrowed the new Noctilux) and the M9 showed off the 21 beautifully. If I ever needed a reason to want the M9, that lens was it. Maybe sometime next year. >Last night, some friends had a discussion about the Rollei 2,8 >Plannar's and the 3,5 Tessar's bokeh. > >That then led to a discussion about the bokeh of various Leica lenses. > >None of us had any idea what to say about some of the newer lenses. > >I thought the lug would be a good place to continue the discussion. > >For what it's worth, I'm throwing the question out to den Kennern of >the lug to learn what's the word on the new 21mm's bokeh?
