I read a thing the day before yesterday that said the difference been medium
format digital and smaller formats like 24x36 or cropped formats is 16 bit
for the medium.
12 for the smaller.

With the 16 bit each pixel pacs a punch.
Anybody know anything about this?

I'm checking bits now on my cameras. And the Leica M9 and S2.
