All Doug's excellent food pictures really made me hungry and I just finished
breakfast. It's very bad for someone on a diet.

recipe)

Enough of this hamming - although a nice thick slice of gammon with a
fried egg or two on it is right up my street - my most recent encounter
with pieces cut out of dead animals are shown here:

Home cooking on holiday, pork loin chops fresh from the farm: Succulent
pieces of dead pig just where they belong when raw

A refreshing aperitif - strong dry cider

Where they belong when cooked

Chops accompanied by spring greens lightly boiled and sauteed in salted
butter, garden peas with finely chopped mint, steamed new potatoes and
my cider/onion/mustard relish (see recipe below)

Something nice to wash it down with

The aftermath of 2 steak and ale pies (courtesy of the Rose Inn,
Pickering UK - highly recommendable)

They were already finished before I thought about whether they would
look good on film :-)
