Yes, it did in the quiet mode (at least compared with the M8s that others
brought to the display.)  In the shoot-and-hold mode it was about as quiet
as my M3.

However, in the conventional mode (regular shooting/winding) it seemed a
little noisy.

Did you notice if the shutter notice seemed quieter than the M8's?

All I can say is.if I had the money, I'd buy it.



The camera was wonderful, and the test images were just superb.  I also shot
a lot in quiet mode, and it made a big difference.    Several of the other
folks at the Leica counter were calculating how they'd scrape up the $7K
price.
