Folks -

Bob Palmieri here.  I used to post once a month or so, now it's more  
like once a year.

One thing I gotta tellya.  I was in New York a few weeks back doing  
some headshots for this company my wife works for (managed with  
available light only, in the fine Leica tradition.)  We decided to  
explore the Hudson River Valley for a coupla days, and we stopped in  
the art museum at SUNY New Paltz.  There I saw some really  
captivating shots by a fellow who's name I recall from the LUG named  
J. Gilbert Plantinga.  I must say, besides being a very aware  
photographer this guy is one of the best color printers I can  
remember seeing in quite some time.  I went over to his studio to  
check out his operation (Upstate Light, I think it's called) and now  
I'm digging through some files in order to send him some stuff to print.

Meantime, here's something from yesterday.  I was shooting some  
sandpipers (from low on a beach with the 400 Telyt) when a fight  
broke out:
