I suspect you may be right - I've pinned up a print and I've been playing
with orientation - but it still sorta speaks to me.
I think the thing that I really like the most was the shock of suddenly
seeing it while I worked on the original photograph - when it just leaped
off the screen at me as something to investigate. Sorta like being out and
working a scene and then turning around and finding the real image you
wanted was behind you all the time!
