That's pretty normal for August in South Carolina. My M8's are working fine. I take them in rain without even thinking about it. I try to avoid going scuba diving with them, but have submerged them in water. As far as I'm concerned Leica has figured it out as well as any other digital camera company. My daughter spilled a drop of water (condensation from her iced tea glass) on her Canon 40D at a restaurant and it quit working. I sent it in to Canon and it can't be fixed for the less than the replacement cost of the camera. Tina Tina Manley www.tinamanley.com
