Mark - Buy the fastest one you can afford and and get the one with the
largest screen. You'll be alot .

Software gets more complex as features are added slowing the machine
down so you always need to buy faster rather than slower when buying
new. The new version of Office for the Mac is a real processor hog,
BTW. CS4 is much the same.

I'm in the same boat with my iMac. It's a mere 1.3 GHz machine and,
apart from the rapidly darkening screen, Lightroom 2 is a real
challenge for it. I use it, but it's sometimes annoyingly slow,
particularly in switching between modules. CS4 Bridge also loads
very slowly.

So, buy fast. You don't want to spend you life watching the SBOD
(Spinning Beach Ball of Death).

Regards,

Dick
