It's about Wagner's politics and attitudes (dogs don't have politics and attitudes); and whether those politics and attitudes seeped into his art to the point of becoming anti-social, or fascist, propaganda. Additionally, we have the general question of whether the art of a superb and talented artist can rise above allowing abhorrent political and anti-social tendencies affect their work; or avoid the use of their work in the promotion of abhorrent behavior in others. Or so it seems to me.
