If I don't, it's not a disaster because I had all but the last week's work backed up on a WD hard drive with Acronis. I have to wait to get the Drobo and my new 1T WD disks to be sure I can restore what I've backed up with Acronis, but I've never had a problem with that before so I'm hoping all goes well. I'll know on Tuesday when the other disks get here. I don't intend to do anything with the damaged disk except try to retrieve the last week's work - it's scans of about 600 slides, which would mean a lot of time scanning but nothing irreplaceable. Everything else is either backed up or in RAW form on my travel hard drives. Now for restructuring my computing world to avoid future mistakes, I'm going to depend on the new imagestore listserve ;-) If I can keep up with the gurus!! Tina Tina Manley www.tinamanley.com
