Gang,, she is having problems with the connector on the drive.    Read what
she says.....

The solution is NOT to unplug it every day.  You are wearing out the
connectors, which have a finite ( and not too long) a life.....

Yes, not a good solution for your file safety, but there is no other good
choice......

Yes, this particular drive is unplugged every day and carried back 
and forth from my office at the house to the farm.  It is plugged 
into an Acer UPS.  I'm sure the plugging and unplugging and carrying 
back and forth can't be good for the USB connections but I don't know 
what else to do.
