Could you use a short male to female USB cable to avoid putting stress on the USB plug in the main unit? I think I will try this since the USB plugs in the case do look flimsy, and I keep most of my drives unplugged from the PC or power. b. I have been looking at Acronis for the purpose of imaging the C drive with the OS and programs. In theory if the C drive fails, you can then put in a new drive and restore the OS and all your programs from the drive image (say on an external HD) without reinstalling everything. Have you tried that?
