As it turns out, I don't think we'll have any more trouble from that 
snake.  I counted eggs this morning and what the snake ate were 3 
fake ceramic eggs that I had put in the nest boxes to encourage the 
chickens to use them instead of laying in the hay bales.  The snake 
had been eating eggs from the hay bales and decided to try out those 
in the nest boxes.  I don't think he'll be able to digest those ceramic 
eggs!!
