I have now uploaded an improved version (at least I think it is improved). What I did differently was that I levelled each of the 15 images in Lightroom before stitching them together in Photoshop. This has largely eliminated the "cigar" distortion in yesterday's image, albeit at a slight cost--because the images are not equal in size anymore (since the degree of correction to make each image level varied), there are a couple of places where if you look closely you will see a slight break in the horizon. But you really have to look for it.
