Yes, I agree you have the best of both worlds.  If I had a DMR, I 
would probably feel compelled to carry it, too.  Luckily, I don't 
have one ;-)  Just two M8s which might limit my options, but I've 
already got more photos waiting to be edited than I can handle!!
