Innocence is like an exotic fruit,
touch it,
and the bloom is gone.

Now you've managed to keep it alive, for us to see, remember, and most 
probably regret.
A very powerful photograph this one is.
And so Italian,
so representative of that period when so many masterpieces were given us 
to see by Italian film-makers, I mean.
