Subject: [Leica] Which 50mm lens is "most like the 75mm Summilux f1.4"?

The 50 Summilux pre-asph, as others have pointed out. The last one,
however, has better coating and a slightly tweaked formula compared to
earlier versions. More importantly, it focuses to 75cm, rather than
1m. The close-focus abilities for the 75 Summilux are one of its best
characteristics, for me.

There are lots of great photos that show the Summilux 50 here
http://www.flickr.com/groups/summilux50mm/ and many are tagged by
version. Plenty to look at, though many are taken with the asph
version, which looks more like the 75 Summicron than the 'lux.
