Subject: [Leica] OT: Lightroom taking up space on iMac?

Just curious, I usually "optimize and relaunch" Lightroom since I run allot 
of images(6000+) through it each month. 

I noticed yesterday when I did it on my iMac, my HD went from 79gb to 85gb. 
I do not have LR setup to use that much space. Just curious on why that 
would have happened? Anyone? I'm no computer expert.
