Subject: [Leica] R lenses on any Digital body - exposure problem

I just used to shoot RAW and have a -2/3 stop compensation dialled into my
5D. Used it this way for a couple of years without any problems. I used
Leica R lenses for 99% of the time. The -ve compensation prevented the
highlights from blowing.

As mentioned earlier the only problem is that some lenses don't have enough
clearance for the mirror. I used 28/35mm Elmarits, 50mm Summicron, 189/250
lenses.

Focus wide open, then stop down soon becomes second nature. I used a
Brightscreen focussing screen to help focussing.
