Subject: [Leica] IMG: American Kestrel (captive)

A non-releasable male American Kestrel in the care of a licensed care and
rehabilitation facility, in yesterday's gorgeous partial overcast light:

The American Kestrel is the smallest of the regularly-occurring falcons in
North America north of Mexico. As is usual for birds of prey the male is
somewhat smaller than the female. He may be tiny but his attitude is 100%
falcon. Mouse, beware!

technical stuff:

R8/DMR @ ISO 400
280mm f/4 APO-Telyt-R
about 1/750 sec @ f/5.6
shoulder stock & monopod

All comments welcome.
