I remember when those were really common over here, not so long ago.
As a child my uncle managed to atract one to my bedroom window leaving  
some goodies, mostly olive oil, until visiting that place became an  
habit for the owl. Still remains as one of my clearest memories, and  
it comes to my mind pretty often.
