Didier.... reference is to Carl.. Carl Zeiss......

Yes, I know that precise framing is not that important.. I spoke as a
marketing person, not a user. The installed base of Leica users is pretty
fussy.. and the whole framing thing has been gone over several times, mostly
because of SLRs and the penchant for users to WYSIWYG... go blame Jobs and
Wozniack.... Offering even a slight disparity makes buyers think twice..
and thinking twice loses sales.....

Offer 90mm. Or both. ( there, I compromised.)

Frank

This Zeiss lens is certainly aimed to underprice the new Summarits, for
shure.

But not shure if you mean me with "Carl" (though my second name is
"Charles", "Didier" is first, "Ludwig" is last). If you want to know my
nickname, it's "Deed" :-)

As for the framelines, as Daniel has posted, the Zeiss Ikon RF has 85mm
framelines. But I have not had troubles in using 85mm lenses with 90mm
framelines, or 40mm lenses with 35mm framelines, or whatever combinations,
especially with a crop factor in addition. I'd use a SLR with 100% view if I
would like to have an absolutely accurate framing method.
