Hi Matthew,

I found difficulty in photographing the mushrooms as well. The
problem I had was the extreme brightness range between the very
bright mushrooms and the very dark grass. So I exposed for the
highlights using the spot meter feature of the Nikon. The M8 photo
was a different story. The shot was under the tree in more even
lighting. I used the Summitar only because it was on the camera at
the time. It produced a softer and I think more appropriate look to
the scene. And yes the grass is always in the way.

Thanks for looking.

Best Regards,
Len
