Leica is in a position to kiss off their R line because you can cont the people with your figures who still have the stuff to use on a DSLR body and they've already bought Nikons and Canons. Leica needed to make a big splash And come out on top. Leica DSLR pictures will look notably better than Nikon and Canon and Pentax and Olympus DSLR pictures. Just like Leica SLR and M pictures from film look notably better than Nikon and Canon and Pentax and Olympus SLR pictures from film. Not Hasselblad so much though. mark@rabinergroup.com Mark William Rabiner > From: Lottermoser George <imagist3@mac.com> > Reply-To: Leica Users Group <lug@leica-users.org> > Date: Wed, 24 Sep 2008 23:14:49 -0500 > To: Leica Users Group <lug@leica-users.org> > Subject: Re: [Leica] S2 images on a blog > > bah humbug > it's too expensive > i can't have one today > where's the R10 full frame for $3000 > i want a M9 full frame for under $2,500 > where is it? > nikon's coming out with S2 mark II in 3 months > canon will kill Leica with their big sensor leica killer by march > you'll see > leica doesn't know what they're doing > panasonic should buy em and take them out of their misery > they should just make lenses for canon, nikon, olympus, pentax, and > holga > then they'd be playing with the big boys > i'm sick and tired of waiting for their buggy, filter needing bodies > > have i missed anything? > > ; ~ ! > > Fond regards, > George > > george@imagist.com > http://www.imagist.com > http://www.imagist.com/blog > http://www.linkedin.com/in/imagist > > > > On Sep 24, 2008, at 10:40 PM, wildlightphoto@earthlink.net wrote: > >> This is a seriously solid product and Leica deserves some credit." > > > _______________________________________________ > Leica Users Group. > See http://leica-users.org/mailman/listinfo/lug for more information
